Failure: The Greatest Teacher
February 2016, we were all sitting in a cold bedroom, the white light of winter poking through the curtain. We had it, it was in our grasp... we were gonna make that movie... eventually. The three of us threw around ideas, superhero movie, mystery, drama. Then we said, “Hey, what about a movie about us? We’re funny right? Right?” And then we didn’t touch that idea for another two years, always saying that we’ll get around to it. We never truly committed to the idea of actually making a movie. Life had brought us in different directions, we were separated and unable to come together and focus. We had believed that we had failed, carrying on with our own lives. Then one day earlier this year myself and Matthew Crowder came together and threw together some random ideas, eventually forming an idea for a script. We went to Enrique and presented what we had, asking him to join us on this crazy journey, he agreed and now three months later we stand here, staring at our goal, ready for all that comes to us. And now, we look to the future, wondering what the future will hold.
